Same coveted formula, same results, sustainable new look. Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic now comes in a 100% recycled plastic bottle. You may see both bottles on the shelf as we switch them out, but why wait on reducing waste, eh? Here’s a rundown on why we’ve given our iconic AHA skincare formula an all-new look, plus a little recap on why it’s a must for *every* skincare shelf.

In line with our Zero Waste by 2021 ambition - recycled, recyclable and reusable packaging solutions - we’ve been hard at work giving our bestselling skincare makeovers, reducing their environmental impact. And, since Daily AHA Tonic has been a consistent bestseller since launch two years ago, we’ve prioritised this ever-clean formula with cleaner packaging.

Designed to Limit Irritation.

First up, Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic is your go-to step for glowing skin. With seven skin-brightening benefits thanks to a blend of exfoliating Lactic Acid, pore-cleansing Salicin (from Willow Bark) and a smart Azelaic Acid Precursor that helps even skin tone. 92% of people said their skin looks brighter, while 96% agreed it does not irritate skin, meaning even the most sensitive-skin types can now get their glow on.

Not sure about your own sensitivity? Dilute Daily AHA Tonic by splashing a little water on your cotton pad before using it - then work your way up to using it ‘neat’.

Brightening myth, debunked.

“The higher the acid, the better the brightening benefits”. This isn’t just a myth that needs debunked, but a theory that could be causing your skin barrier real damage. The acid percentage, is a measure of how harsh the product can be on skin, whereas the pH that tells you how deep the product will go into your skin.

The lower the pH, the deeper the product is likely to penetrate into all layers of the skin, with increased irritation especially under pH 3. That’s why at REN Clean Skincare all of our exfoliating products lie between 3.5 and 4.5 pH, giving you real, glowing results - without compromising or weakening your skin’s protective barrier.

Clean formula, cleaner packaging.

Spot anything different? Daily AHA Tonic now sports a 100% post-consumer recycled bottle, making it a little grey-tinted like our Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium body and hand care bottles. This is simply down to the recycling process, it’s 100% safe and meets stringent European regulations.

Plus, you can recycle it in the same way you would with the original bottle; by separating the pump from the bottle and placing the bottle in your recycling bin. For the moment, the pump isn’t currently recycled - but we’re working on that and will keep you updated as soon as it’s ready.

Your clean, glow-giving routine.

We recommend using Daily AHA Tonic in at night, so you’re not going into direct sunlight after, as with any exfoliating product. However, you can also use AM and PM to ramp up your glow. Here’s a few tips to get your skin glowing and keep it that way:

Always apply on freshly cleansed skin.

A no-brainer, perhaps, but ensuring your skin is free of makeup, pollution or debris helps your ingredients penetrate better. Use Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser AM and PM to create your Perfect Canvas for skincare to follow.

Always use SPF.

Any exfoliation can increase sun sensitivity. Use Clean Screen SPF 30 (especially if you apply Daily AHA Tonic in the morning) to protect your skin from burning, premature ageing and dark spot formation.

Stay hydrated.

For maximum skin health - always stay hydrated inside and out. Our glow-giving moisturisers, Vitamin C Gel Cream and Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream are non-acid brighteners, so are formulated to limit irritation when used with Daily AHA Tonic. Use in conjunction to reveal your most even skin yet.
